When you hear the term River Rats you automatically think of the Navy. In Vietnam the only Army division to work with the Navy since the Civil War was the 9th Infantry Division known as the Mobile Riverine Force. They were not on PBR's or Swift Boats on the Delta, but rather on artillery barges with 102 Howitzers mounted on each side. In addition to the Vietnam Service Ribbon, I added the 9th ID patch design to add a little more flavor to the design. There is nothing on the market to acknowledge the Army River Rats.
